Ithen played Origins through. The most impressive part about Odyssey was the the size and scope, but other than that, Origins is better in almost every way by almost every metric. The story is better. The writing is WAY better. The quests, especially the side quests, are more consequential and fleshed out. BcI really enjoyed the lore of AC but don't want to play all the AC gamed to understand the lore in origin, odyssey, and Valhalla. I read that ubisoft decided to kind of stray away from ac lore and make somewhat standalone games which I really enjoyed. Odyssey was my first game back into AC and it was amazing. Origins bayek himself, easily, this man is everything to me and seeing him hurt makes me hurt. 10/10 Odyssey: Deimos/The family, for me personally I loved the contrast between the huge Greek world and trying to connect what remains of a family. Valhalla: Basim, and to my suprise hes getting his own game, which is always sweet. ButOrigins and Odyssey offer different experiences from settings to mechanics. Set before Valhalla in 9th Century Baghdad, it tells the story of street-rat turned Assassin Basim and his early years among the Hidden Ones, tracking down members of the Order, who are busy twisting the city to their own, mysterious ends. ACOrigins: a reboot to the franchise, showing the origins history of brotherhood and introducing RPG elements. AC Odyssey: a game definitely made for being STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL, but don't have any connections to the AC franchise. AC Valhalla: made to be a better RPG game and to be more assassin's inside the franchise. SoI would suggest you to buy GTA, but you should still try Assassin's creed Odyssey sooner or later. GTA V is a must-have game, definitely go for that. I haven't played AC Odyssey, only Origins, but the 2 games are basically the same and that's not a good thing since Origins sucked ass from a lot of point of view. It also has a bunch of features Origins doesn’t, such as branching storylines/dialogue, naval combat, and armor customisation (Origins has a bunch of different outfits, but Odyssey has it split into different pieces of armor). Odyssey is W9wod.
